Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a ministry outreach to teach children about God in a fun setting including games, snacks, and activities! VBS lasts five weekdays in the summer, for about three hours each day. VBS programs a theme for the week and use this theme to creatively teach God's Word. Bible stories, memory verses, games, prizes, songs, snacks--there's something for everyone and everyone is welcome!

A typical day at Vacation Bible School may include:

• Arts and crafts
• Games
• Skits
• Songs
• Puppet shows
• Sports activities
• Snack breaks
• Team lessons
• Character-building activities
• Prayer

Teachers at VBS are church staff as well as church members volunteering their time. Many of the church members helping out with Vacation Bible School are parents too.

First Baptist Church VBS features activities for children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Children learn about God through fun, age-appropriate activities. It's perfect for younger children who get a feel for camp without having to go away overnight, and it's a great way for kids to meet new friends! You don't have to be a church member to attend VBS!

This summer, join us June 24-28 from 9:30am-12:30pm for "Discovering God's Plan For Your Life: Comparing The Lives Of Joseph and Jesus" with Uncle Bob Beery! Vacation Bible School is for all children who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade. Busing is available! Contact the church office at 664-8814 to arrange a ride.
